TRAVEL ROUTE: 

We will be flying as a group from Anchorage to Seattle, boarding a charter bus at the airport, and driving north to Vancouver. In Vancouver, the bus will board a ferry to the Langdale/Sunshine Coast terminal, and will drive another couple of hours north to Egmont, BC. There we'll get off the bus and get on a Young Life ferry that will take us across to the island where the camp property is located. We'll do all that in reverse for the trip home!

INTERNATIONAL TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

This trip is to a Young Life camp property in Canada and requires a passport or passport card for travel across an international border. For information on how to obtain a passport, visit the US State Department's travel site. We recommend submitting your passport application no later than early March to guarantee its arrival before we leave for camp.

**A passport card is acceptable for our needs and is significantly cheaper, but is not valid for air travel. If your family is planning international travel in the next few years, a passport booklet will be a better choice. The timeframe for processing either option is the same.**

In addition to a passport, parents will need to complete this Parental Consent for Malibu Trip Border Crossing.pdf. We will collect original versions of this form which must be signed by both parents unless certain extenuating circumstances apply; these original forms must be with us as we cross the border.
